Sign-Ups With More Than One Address: Rentals, Parents' Houses and Small Landlords

Not every customer lives where the cans are. A landlord with four rentals wants clean cans at each one. A daughter wants her mom's cans cleaned across town. A homeowner wants their own house and their vacation rental on the same plan. These customers are valuable, and they need a little more care at booking.

One Payer, Several Addresses

Your sign-up form, placed as described in Where the Bin Cleaning Sign-Up Form Belongs on Your Website, is built around one address. Most homeowners only need one. But a growing share of your requests may come from people paying for cans somewhere else.

TrashCanBossPro handles this with one client and many addresses. The person who pays is the client. Each property is its own address under that client, with its own cans, its own trash day and its own can location notes. They show under each address on the office lists and on the tech's phone.

Common Multi-Address Customers

Small landlords. A few rental houses or duplexes. Clean cans help with tenant complaints and make turnovers easier. The landlord pays, the tenants just put the cans out.

Adult children paying for a parent. Someone wants their elderly parent's cans cleaned. The address is the parent's, but the card and the texts may go to the child. Ask who should get reminders.

Short-term rental owners. A vacation rental between guests needs cans that do not smell. These owners often want a more frequent plan in busy season.

Homeowners with two homes. A main house and a lake house, or their own home and a parent's. Same person, same card, two addresses.

Booking the First Address

Let the customer sign up through the form for the first address as usual. They pick a plan, enter the cans and trash day, and leave a card. The sign-up lands in Form Responses, and one click converts it into a client.

If they mention more addresses in the notes, or call to add them, add each extra address to the same client rather than creating new clients. Two records for one payer cause confusion on invoices and make it hard to see the whole account. When you check new sign-ups, watch for a second sign-up from someone who is already a client and add the address to the existing record. That habit is covered in One-Click Convert: Turning a Bin Cleaning Sign-Up Into a Client.

Get Each Address Right

Each property has its own details, and the tech needs all of them:

Do not assume one property looks like another. A quick text to the owner for each new address saves a wasted trip.

Reminders and Tenants

The automated "we clean tomorrow, leave the cans out" reminder only helps if it reaches the person who rolls the cans. For a rental, that may be the tenant, not the landlord. Talk to the owner about who should get reminders and whether they are comfortable with you contacting tenants. Add notes on the address so the office and techs know the arrangement.

If tenants are not reachable, a note like "Tenants usually leave cans by the alley after pickup" at least tells the tech where to look.

Billing for Several Addresses

Invoices carry line items, so each cleaning can show which address it was for. Owners with several properties often prefer one bill. A client set to Monthly billing gets ONE statement each month covering every address they own, with each line labeled with the address. A landlord can see at a glance which rental was cleaned and when, and pay once.

For owners who want each cleaning charged as it happens, the card on file can be auto-charged on completion instead. Either way, ask which they prefer at booking.

Tag and Grow

Tag multi-address clients, for example "Landlord" or with a custom field for the number of properties. Landlords know other landlords, and a happy one can be worth several referrals. When a landlord buys another property, they will think of you first if the first few went smoothly.

The Short Version

One client, many addresses, each with its own cans, trash day and notes. Sort out who gets reminders, offer one monthly statement, and keep everything on a single record. For the rest of the booking tools, visit the TrashCanBossPro bin cleaning booking software page.
